Sunday Times Article - Cotswolds Renovation - Hempcrete installation with Hemplimespray ltd.
I worked with Graham Durrant (HempLimeSpray) on this house featured in the Home section of the Sunday Times, 01/12/2019. The spray applied hempcrete was able to mimic the original features of this grade II listed stone barn, following the gentle undulations of the structure. The Hempcrete was finished using Limecote by Martin Brown, my go to lime plaster for exterior walls, in places the Limecote has been finished with earthborn clay paint and Auro. As the article says, the clients Patrick Lewis and Julia Wolfe wanted to make this renovation low impact and they understood the importance of using breathable materials such as hempcrete, wood fibreboard, lime plaster and a limecrete slab. The limecrete slab was completed by Myles Yallop from the Limecrete Company, this breathable foundation system also uses glapor recycled foam glass which I often specify for low impact high performance foundations.
